Milla Jovovich

Militza Jovovic was born in Kiev Ukraine on December 17, 1975, is a model, actress, singer and fashion designer. Is the daughter of Bogdan Bogdanovich Jovovic, a Serbian pediatrician and Galina Loginova, a Soviet actress of Russia.

She appeared in several films of science fiction and action. She performed several films with renowned actors such as John Malkovich, Dustin Hoffman, Bruce Willis, Robert Downey Jr., Christian Slater, Ali Larter and recently with Robert De Niro and Edward Norton.

At the age of nine years, she started going to auditions, modeling, and got a contract with the Prima modeling agency. At eleven, Mila was noticed by the photographer Richard Avedon. Avedon was the head of marketing at Revlon at the time, and chosen Jovovich to appear with models Alexa Singer and Sandra Zatezalo in Revlon worldwide ads.

Later Jovovich made the cover of the Magazine Face, which led her to new contracts and covers with the magazines Vogue and Cosmopolitan. Since then she appeared in over one hundred magazine covers, including Seventeen, Mademoiselle, Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, and InStyle. Her modeling career has included various campaigns for Banana Republic, Christian Dior, Damiani, Donna Karan, Gap, Versace, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Coach, Giorgio Armani, H & M, and Revlon.

In 1988, she appeared in her first professional role in the TV movie The Night Train to Kathmandu as Lily McLeod. Jovovich returned to acting in 1997 with a major role in the film directed by Luc Besson The Fifth Element with Bruce Willis and Gary Oldman as Leeloo. Also since the year 1998, Mila Jovovich has been the "international face" of the company L'Oreal cosmetics.

In 2002, Jovovich starred in the horror and action film Resident Evil, released in the United States on March 15, 2002. Based on the Capcom video game series of the same name, she played Alice, the heroine of the film fighting against a legion of zombies created by the Umbrella Corporation. Again in 2004 she starred Resident Evil: Apocalypse and in 2007 Resident Evil: Extinction y Resident Evil: Afterlife.
